by Jillian Gordon, Co-Founder & CEO of Go Within Collective

When I first received the invitation to be interviewed by The Denver Post, I felt a mix of excitement and gratitude. It’s not every day that you have the chance to share your story and passion for healing with such a wide audience. As the co-founder of Go Within Collective here in Denver, our mission has always been about helping people reconnect with themselves through safe, guided psilocybin therapy. To see this work gaining recognition in the broader community feels both humbling and inspiring.
How the Interview Came Together
When The Denver Post first reached out, they shared that they were working on a piece highlighting how psilocybin therapy is beginning to reshape mental health care across the state. Their team had heard about Go Within Collective and was curious to learn more about our approach, our philosophy, and our commitment to offering safe, professional support for those seeking new paths to healing.
Before the interview, I spent time reflecting on the journey that led me here — from my own healing journey to the decision to build a space where others could safely embark on their own. I wanted to make sure that, beyond the technical details, I shared the heart of why we do this work: because transformation is possible, and every person deserves access to it.
Inside the Interview
The interview itself felt more like a conversation than anything formal, which I really appreciated. We talked about the professional standards we uphold — the training our facilitators go through, the importance of preparation and integration, and the deep responsibility we feel toward every client who trusts us with their journey.
One topic that stood out was the real, lived experience of people who come to us. I emphasized that psilocybin therapy isn’t about quick fixes or grand promises — it’s about creating a safe, intentional space for people to explore, heal, and grow. Many of our clients are navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, or life transitions that traditional approaches haven’t fully addressed. Being able to offer them a new, research-backed option is incredibly meaningful.
A Moment That Stood Out
One of my favorite moments during the interview was when I was asked what inspires me most about this work. Without hesitation, I thought of a recent client who, after years of battling severe anxiety, found a sense of peace through their experience with psilocybin-assisted therapy. Sharing that story was emotional for me — and I was grateful for the chance to highlight how real and life-changing this work can be.
As the article captured,
“For Jillian Gordon, founder of Go Within Collective, psilocybin therapy is about restoring connection — to self, to hope, and to healing.”
Hearing our mission reflected back in the journalist’s words was a moving reminder of why we do what we do. Healing isn’t just about symptom relief; it’s about helping people rediscover their own strength, their own hope, and their own inner wisdom.

Looking Ahead
Being featured in The Denver Post feels like a meaningful step, not just for Go Within Collective, but for the broader psychedelic-assisted therapy movement here in Colorado. Public understanding is growing, and with it, the opportunity to make safe, ethical, transformative healing available to more people.
We’re committed to continuing to lead with integrity, compassion, and professionalism as this field evolves. Every story shared, every conversation started, moves us closer to a future where mental health care and personal growth truly honors the full complexity of human experience.
A Heartfelt Thank You
I’m so grateful to The Denver Post for shining a light on this important work and for allowing Go Within Collective to be part of the conversation. If you’d like to learn more about our approach to psilocybin therapy or explore whether it might be right for you, please reach out — we would love to connect.
